Nomination & Voting Rules

 

Nomination Rules

  1. Anyone (with approval of the owner) can nominate a cat.
  2. All nominees must be either a LaPerm or LaPerm Variant.
  3. The cat must be resident in the region entered.
  4. There are no limits to the number of cats that can be entered from each member.
  5. All entries must include 1-2 photo's and a maximum of 50 words supporting the nomination.
  6. Nomination forms are available from Penni Cragg.
  7. Nominations can be made by either email or by post to Penni Cragg, 101 Westfield road, Wellingborough, Northants NN8.
  8. By entering the Cat of the Year Competition you will be agreeing to your cat/s being used in promotional materials for the club.
  9. There will be 5 winning categories;
  10. bulletInternational LaPerm Cat of the Year
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for USA and Canada
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for New Zealand, Australia and South Africa
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for Europe
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for the UK
  11. Closing date for all nominations is 31 January 2008.

Voting

  1. Voting is not restricted to club members.
  2. Club and non-club members may vote for a maximum number of 1 cat within each region.

    1-   USA & Canada,
2- New Zealand, Australia & South Africa,
3- Europe,
4, UK.

  1. Club and non-club members may only vote for each cat once i.e. you cannot vote for the same cat twice.
  2. Voting can be made either by email or by post to Penni Cragg, 101 Westfield road, Wellingborough, Northants NN8.
  3. Only one email address can be used per voter i.e. we cannot accept multi voters who share one email address.
  4. Closing date for all votes is midnight on 14 February 2008.
  5. All votes at this stage will go to a verifier to confirm the winning cat with the most votes within the following categories:
    bulletRegion - USA and Canada
    bulletRegion - New Zealand, Australia and South Africa
    bulletRegion - Europe
    bulletRegion - the UK
    who will win the title of
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for USA and Canada
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for New Zealand, Australia and South Africa
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for Europe
    bulletLaPerm Cat of the Year for the UK

These cats on 16 February will go on to a head to head to award the title of International LaPerm Cat of the Year.

Final Judging

  1. This will be judged by an independent judge or panel, who:
    bulletHave not bred any of the cats in the competition.
    bulletDo not own any cat in the competition.
  2. The final judging will decide in the opinion of the judges the cat to be awarded;
  3. bulletInternational LaPerm Cat of the Year
  4. The final judging will take place on 16 February 2008.

Judges

  1. Judges will be announced on 1 January 2007.
  2. A judge cannot have an entry in the competition either as a breeder or owner.
  3. Judges cannot vote for any cat prior to the final stage.
