What was your first cat (name, breed and colour)?
|
|||
|
Sootie a Siamese cross, my first pedigree was a White Persian called you
guessed it Snowy not very original but I was only a little girl at the time.

How did you get into breeding? |
|||
| I had my first Devon Rex in the 70's and was encouraged by other breeders to breed. | |||
|
How did you decide on your breeders prefix? |
|||
| The GCCF decided for me it was no.5 on my list. Cicada's are large bugs that are extremely loud I just put a y were the i should be, suited my Devon's as they definitely make themselves known, you can't ignore them or the Lappies either. | |||
|
How do you decide on kitten names? |
|||
|
It depends on the litter and I have been interested in Native American
tribes, have for as long as I can remember. I also find inspiration in
films, TV shows and books.

What attracted to you to the LaPerm’s? |
|||
| Their curls I love all things curly owning curly Rats, Mice, Guinea Pigs, Devon Rex and Poodles. | |||

Who was your first LaPerm? |
|||
|
Aswani Sundance Kid, aka Spider, red tabby long hair, followed soon after
by my first home breed litter which included Cycada Pejuta Skeja aka Twinkle
and Cycada Strong Medicine aka TC both short hairs.

What is life like with a LaPerm? |
|||
| Never dull | |||

What advice would you give to someone wanting to
start breeding and/or showing? |
|||
|
Start with a good quality show neuter, learn all you can, make friends
and accept advice from those who have the experience and knowledge.
Breeding is not for the faint hearted and is a labour of love. There are no quick fixes with cat breeding and along with the joy and excitement there can be disappointments.

| Tell us more about you.... | |||
| Have had cats all my life, my first employment involved Animal Husbandry and setting up breeding programs. Change of careers came along with family but I still pursued my interest in breeding first with Devon Rex Cats and then Poodles. I also have interests in Arts & Crafts. | |||
